Welcome to NGAS

Navajeevana Grameena Abhivriddhi Samsthe [NGAS] was established in 2001 for the empowerment of the deprived sections of the society. The founder is Mr. Ashok Bhati who is a graduate and have three decades of experience in the development sector. Raichur District, in Karnataka, comes under the “Hyderabad Karnataka” area. All development indicators show a dismal picture. The existence of poverty, un-employment, under employment, lack of income, ill health, illiteracy, the devadasi system, bonded labour system, child labour system and the caste system have created deep rooted problems in this area. The organization facilitates the deprived community to get a share in the development and also be at par with other sections of the society. For the past 17 years or so the organization is working in 41 villages in Raichur District and 14 villages in Bagalkot districts respectively. There are 74 women SHGs formed covering 1110 women and have 32 farmers' sangha covering 640 farmers. There are 24 Youth Groups covering 480 youths. There are 13 children group covering 195 children. NGAS is registered as a Society under Societies Registration Act, Karnataka, 1960. Registration No. SOR/88/2001-02. It is registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act,1976, with FCRA Number: 094610039.
